Kids Hope mentors are encouraged to invite and bring their Kids Hope children (this is in place of having Christmas craft materials at the school).  All K - 6th graders are welcome to participate!   We have several fun new crafts this year along with a few timeless favorites.  These crafts and homemade goodies will make great Christmas gifts for children to give to parents, grand-parents, brothers, sisters, etc.   If possible, bring a hammer and copies of family snapshots that can be cut up and used for crafts.  Please R.S.V.P. to Amanda or Pam at the church office (395-3361) or by email at abugos@conversechurch.org by Wed. Dec. 2nd.  Suggested donation to help cover costs is $5.00 per child (no one will be turned away due to money).

What does a Sunday morning look like for my 1st - 6th Grader?

Based on Luke 2:52, "... and Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and favor with God and man" 252 Basics is aimed at helping kids grow in wisdom, faith, and friendship.  It is built around three Basic Truths every child should embrace according to what Jesus modeled in Luke 2:52.

  1. I need to make the wise choice.
  2. I can trust God no matter what.
  3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

Each month we focus on a different biblical virtue.  Parents, for information about what your kids are learning check out the "refrigerator door" cards that are sent home each week.  These cards contain tidbits about the virtue and Bible story that you can talk about at home throughout the week.  There are also weekly "God Time" cards that have 4 days of weekly devotions you can do with your child or, for upper elementary kids, they can do on their own.

We Value:
  • Bible based teaching
  • Safety
  • Age-appropriateness
  • Fun
  • Intentional shepherding
  • Good stewardship
  • A partnership with parents

In Kids Amazing Worship at 8:30 a.m. 1st-6th graders experience the Bible's lessons through music, prayer, drama, video clips and more in a large group setting.  Sunday School classes take place at 9:30.  These are smaller groups, divided by grade, where dedicated teachers seek to share principles from the Bible and build friendships with each child. In Kids Amazing Worship at 10:45 there are two sessions, one for 1st-3rd graders, one for 4th -6th graders.  It is similar in format to the first hour KAW.
