What does Sunday morning at CCC look like for my baby or preschooler?

CCC's Early Childood Ministries on Sunday morning include our Nursery (for infants through Toddlers) and Ark Park (for 2-year-olds through Kindergarteners).  We offer care and/or programming for these little ones during each worship service, as well as during the Sunday School hours (at 8:30, 9:30 and 10:45 a.m.).

Infants (newborn-walkers):

CCC values the safety and well-being of each baby.  Toys are cleaned and sanitized.  I.D. and diaper bag tags for each child help keep everything organized and allow us to alert parents in the worship service should there be a need.  Loving adult volunteers play with and care for these precious ones.

Toddlers (walkers-24 months):

Children learn about Jesus' love through singing and playing with God-loving teens and adults.  Using Gospel Light's Baby Beginnings curriculum, simple Bible stories and concepts are introduced to this curious and wonderful age group.  A foundation of faith begins in this young classroom.

Parents, for more information about what your toddlers are learning, be sure to check out the Parent's Home Page we send home monthly.  In each home page, you'll find an overview of the month's teaching, a few developmental insights, and activity ideas to enjoy with your child.  These resources are meant to help and encourage you in nurturing your child's faith at home.

Ark Park (2-year-olds through Kindergarteners):

Using The reThinkGroup's First Look curriculum, we hope to help Ark Park kids take a first look at who God is and understand three basic truths...

God made me.
God loves me.
Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

During Large Group Worship (8:30 and 10:45), Ark Park kids worship God through song, offering, and prayer.  Then, Scruffy and Danny (our beloved puppy and boy puppets) share their stories as young ones listen and learn.  Finally, kids are introduced to the week's Bible story through creative teaching by our Large Group Worship Leader.  Of course, we take some extra time to exert energy in the gym, too!

During the Sunday School hour (9:30), Ark Park kids hear the Bible story told in a new way, focus on a monthly memory verse, and take part in hands-on crafts and activities that reinforce the month's Bottom Line.  There's always time for a snack, too!

Parents, for more information about what your preschoolers are learning, be sure to check out the Small Talk sheets we send home and email monthly.  You may also click here to view and print this month's Small Talk.  Please, take time to use these resources to continue faith conversations at home.  Ask your child the Key Question, review the Bible story, and take avantage of the ideas provided for Play Time, Car Time, Bath Time, and Cuddle Time with your child.

Let's work together to lay a foundation of bibical truths in these young ones' lives, that they might grow to discover their own faith in God and become passionate follwers of Christ.
